Rushing is a very traditional craft, simple in its technique but requiring experience to perfect the skill needed to produce fine and even coils. I have many years' experience of rush seating and favour using English rush with its lovely variation in colour, ranging from verdant green through mellow yellow to golden brown. It is particularly appropriate for seating traditional English ladderbacks.
